Description Silicone Remover SR52 is a cleaner in gel form for the removal of cured silicone residues. It is easy to use on both horizontal and vertical surfaces. It is suitable for use on most substrates such as glass, metal, ceramic, porcelain, etc. However, a small scale prior test is recommended in order to define if the cleaner attacks the substrate. This may happen in some painted surfaces, nylon, certain fabrics, anodized or coated aluminium. Application Instructions The surface of the silicone should be clean, dry without any oil, dust,etc. Remove with a sharp tool as much as possible of the silicone sealant. For protection of the surrounding areas, the use of masking tape is recommended. Apply the gel on the surface of the silicone that has remained after the mechanical removal. The thickness of the cleaner should be twice as much as the thickness of the sealant to be removed. Leave the cleaner on the sealant for 2-4 hours. Wipe the residues off and the rinse with plenty of water. Repeat the procedure if necessary.
