Tubeless is a popular option these days, especially if you are riding a gravel bike or mountain bike. Going tubeless allows you to run much lower pressure in your tyres without a puncture. After all, you have removed the tube that would be punctured! Even though you have removed the usual culprit in flat tyres, you will still need to maintain your tubeless. You will need to top-up your tubeless sealant every 3-6 months depending on how often you ride & where you ride. This is because the sealant will dry up & coagulate in your tyre over time. And you need free-moving sealant to fill any holes you may get. Summer time heat will often dry up sealant in your tyres faster too. And certainly if you puncture & the hole has been plugged by sealant, you will need to top up. If you are running road tyres & find it easier to run tubes, try the Vittoria tubes.
